Islamic Council – Prerogatives of HCGI/HACIG
1. Spiritual and Moral Guidance

Provide Islamic spiritual direction, ethical counsel, and support to Muslim members and communities associated with HCGI/HACIG.
2. Faith-Based Human Rights Advocacy

Promote the protection of human dignity, justice, equity, and compassion based on Islamic principles, in alignment with international human rights standards.
3. Representation of Muslim Communities

Serve as the voice of Muslim stakeholders within HCGI/HACIG, ensuring cultural and religious sensitivity in operations, policies, and interventions.
4. Interfaith Harmony and Dialogue

Collaborate with other religious councils (Christian, traditional, etc.) to promote mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and interreligious understanding.
5. Peace and Conflict Resolution

Utilize Islamic teachings to mediate conflicts, promote forgiveness, and build peaceful, harmonious communities.
6. Prison, Hospital, and Crisis Chaplaincy
-
Organize Islamic chaplain services for Muslim inmates, patients, and displaced persons, offering spiritual comfort and religious support.
7. Islamic Social Outreach Projects

Support or initiate community welfare programs (education, health, justice, etc.) guided by Islamic charitable principles such as Zakat, Sadaqah, and Waqf.
8. Promotion of Ethical Conduct

Encourage discipline, humility, and integrity among HCGI/HACIG staff and volunteers, drawing from the moral teachings of Islam.
9. Observance of Islamic Values in Operations

Ensure Islamic holidays, practices, dress codes, and dietary needs are respected in all organizational engagements involving Muslim participants.
10. Partnerships with Islamic Organizations

Establish working relationships with national and international Muslim bodies and humanitarian NGOs to support joint initiatives and advocacy efforts.
11. Collaborate with the Evangelical Council.
