Financial Council – Prerogatives of HCGI/HACIG
1. Financial Oversight and Accountability

Ensure transparent management of all financial operations, budgets, and resources within HCGI/HACIG at national and regional levels.
2. Budget Preparation and Monitoring

Prepare annual and special budgets in collaboration with relevant councils; monitor execution and advise on corrective measures where needed.

Conduct regular internal audits and collaborate with external auditors to guarantee compliance with financial regulations and ethical standards.
4. Fundraising and Resource Mobilization

Design strategies for resource mobilization including partnerships, grants, donations, and sponsorships to support HCGI/HACIG’s missions and activities.
5. Investment and Financial Planning

Advise on sound investment strategies, financial sustainability plans, and reserve fund policies aligned with the organization’s long-term goals.

Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to the Executive Council, General High Commissioner, and statutory partners, both national and international.
7. Grant and Project Finance Management

Oversee financial aspects of projects and programs, including proper use of grant funds, cost-efficiency, and donor compliance.
8. Training and Financial Literacy

Educate regional delegates, department heads, and local offices on financial best practices, internal control systems, and anti-corruption measures.

Detect and prevent any misuse, embezzlement, or misappropriation of funds, and initiate disciplinary or legal procedures when necessary.
10. Partnership Financial Liaison

Serve as the main interface for financial negotiations and due diligence with institutional, corporate, and philanthropic partners.
